Unloader BLOCKS 101.......

Who, What, When, Where, and especially Why...
I had a dealer replace an unloader on my washer awhile ago... No name on it ...looked like a K-7.. Anyway it had unloader blocks... They replaced it with a smaller unloader, with a plastic type screw cap (for adjusting the pressure). They have it coming off of the pump... Not attatched to the base as was the K-7 type..I have had to replace a couple of swivels, as they broke because of the vibration...
The question is should the new unloader be mounted to the base, with unloader blocks or what...
I know it is hard to figure these things out without seeing them....Thanks Blake

#1:An unloader block serves a purpose. It holds a bulky unloader in place. It also makes it easier to access. A small unloader does not weigh as much so it does not need one. #2; The K7 unloader is a flow actuated unloader and it takes the pressure off of the hose when you let go of the trigger. The other style holds pressure in the line. If it is not adjusted properly it will spike the hose and swivel. This will cause them to burst at their weekest point. #3: My sugestion is to replace your unloader with a K5 or a K7 unloader.
