wood is not so hard Sodium hydroxide to strip out old sealer.....oxalic acid to neutralize and brighten. If used correctly, you could rinse with garden hose...I've know I've done it. Low pressure with 60 degree tip rinses really well. Strip it, rinse it, brighten it..bada bing bada boom...

Just food for thought.....are you going to use same airless sprayer to apply stain? Be careful if you are, I've had experience using my airless to multitask....the problem being, you may not get 100% of one product out of your pump before you use something else. I had light colored latex paint...

Just an idea for staining decks. I've used for the past two seasons an 18" china bristle push broom and a wall paper tray. It's like a HUGE paint brush, doing roughly 3 deck boards at a time. The key is using a quality broom, must have soft pliable bristles, and clean it after EVERY use! Mark

Regardless of what type of sprayer you get make sure it has a pressure volume control. I used to use a cheap Graco from Home Depot that created a LOT of overspray. I met with a GRACO rep and he showd me the advantage of a dial down pressure. I bought it and I estimate that I saved about 40%...
