    visa / master card

Talk to your bank about it. I pay $6 per month for all 4 major credit cards and this includes the machine in my office. Then I pay 2% per transaction. Some government jobs prefer this method of payment and you don't have to wait a month or two to get paid. Occasionally you'll get a customer...

    Industrial Strength Washers

I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. I'm just trying to educate myself. I will be putting the unit(s) and tank(s) (500gal?) on flatbeds and weight shouldn't be a problem but I don't like spending money any more than anyone else so I don't want to overkill. Any suggestions? I would...

    Industrial Strength Washers

I'm looking for machines that put out 8-20 gpm to clean parking garages and the like. I've had to sub out some of this in the past and am tired of doing so (we've been doing the walls). The square footages are often 300,000+ so I'm not looking for your average 6 gpm 4k psi hot water unit...

    Does anyone barter for services?

I barter (trade-out) almost every chance I get. It's almost always on my terms from something I want and sought out but didn't want to pay retail for. So...a fax machine for an hour's work; a CD-RW for 1 hour; 2 Chuck-E-Cheese parties for my two girls birthdays for sidewalk cleaning (3 hours)...

    Gum Shadows

I searched but couldn't specifically find anything about removing gum shadows. PW'ing walks is a little out of my realm but I have a good trade-out job coming up and would like to remove the shadows as well. I once heard acetone but have never had the opportunity to try it. Any ideas...

    Copper awning runoff stains

I/ve gotten it off before with CLR or whatever the equivilent is in Home Depot or Lowes. It is Calcium, Lime, and Rust remover and can be diluted down somewhat and applied with a garden sprayer and rinsed off with low pressure.

What do you pay for insurance

John, That's not a bad deal. I pay a little more for my liability, worker's comp., and some equipment iinsurance. Tony ------------------

    RE: All the housewashing estimates

Dennis, The amount of bleach you would use to clean siding is nowhere near the concentration it would have to be to streak a roof. It will never be a problem. Tony ------------------

2 story house covered in spider webs.

A very soapy solution is very helpful. Bleach is not necessary but if you can soak the spider webs really well with soap (any kind - laundry detergent, etc.) it will make the spider webs slippery instead of adhesive and make them heavier at the same time, making them easier to rinse off. Tony...

    MAKING A CHEMICAL SPRAYER

Instead of using the clear braided tubing you can also use the small 1/2" garden hoses that are very inexpensive (maybe 50' for $10.00) and just cut the ends off and use adapters to fit your pump and nozzle. Tony ------------------

    Sealing Vinyl Awnings

There are 12 awnings approximately 650 s.f. each. These are large concession stand awnings in a football stadium. I think whatever I use must be sprayed on (that's what I've been doing, it's just a very cheap sealer) because they are so tall at their peak. Thanks Tony ------------------

    Sealing Vinyl Awnings

Does anyone know of a way to make vinyl awnings shine after they've been cleaned? The sealers that I know of from a couple of different awning cleaning companies are out of the question because of cost (the property manager simply won't spend the money). Basically I need a cheap alternative...

    chlorine

Calcium Hypochlorite will be next to impossible to mix thoroughly. It won't dissolve completely in the water to the degree you would need them to without special methods and I don't know what they are but you'll probably have to stick with liquid sodium hypochlorite. The Calcium Hypochlorite...

    house wash question

There are probably several different reasons the surface can turn chalky from oxidation but one of the most common is people using bleach to clean off mold and mildew and letting it dry without thoroughly rinsing it before it dries. Bleach is a heavy oxidizer. Many homeowners will get outside...

    Credit Card usage?

Run - don't walk - away from that deal. You can do MUCH better. I pay about $6.00 per month if I don't meet my minimum and 3% up to a certain amount if I do. Either way it's not much. I take all 4 major cards and I just had someone at my bank set me up through them. I think I might have laid...
