A man walks into a bar...

Well, actually it's a pub. Well actually it's a restaurant.

Need tips on pricing and cleaning of this project. This will be my first kitchen project.

The kitchen is approx 30 x 40 at its widest with a lot of kitchen "stuff" (plate shelves, frialators, pull-out stuff, etc.).

The bar area is approx 10 x 20 with a couple slide outs.

The previous cleaner is still doing the hoods, but says he doesn't have time to do the floors anymore. Yes, it's just the floors. Customer wants this done monthly.

Customer says previous cleaner blasted away while helper ran behind him with a wet/vac (no drains in the floor). Am I going to need tarps to drape clean plates with. I'm not sure what to expect for a mess inside when I pull the trigger. Would one of those narrow (12" +/-) surface washers be best when I'm not using the wand.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mark the hood cleaner found easy'er money and dont want to do this anymore for a reason. Either the rest. wont pay enuff or its just too much of a pain in the butt with no drains. If you had a STEELE EAGLE SYSTEM then this would be a real good gig.
If i were you i would look far a 2.5 gpm unit with high temp seals, then use there hot water with a small surface cleaner.
Most hood cleaners have the lower gpm pumps, you go in there with 5 gpm and a wand, your going to make a real mess. Ay 5 gpm how big of a wet vac are you going to be useing?
no floor drains in a kitchen! now thats poor planning.
I wonder if they have a truck mounted unit that can use a carpet cleaning system and a steele eagle attachment.
You could make a great deal of money in rest. work if you cleaned carpet and kitchen floors. Might as well add hoods and then "one call will get it all done".
Anyone out there organising a team of subcontractors and just sell services.
I bet you could make a good living just selling.

MARK,

I THANK A LITTLE ELETRIC HOT WATER UINT WOULD WORK GREAT!

A GUY GAVE ME ONE A FEW MONTHS AGO, IT WAS PROPANE,I CHANGED IT TO DIESEL, IT GET HOT ,HOT, HOT , IT WILL TAKE TAR UP OFF THE CONCRETE.

I HAVE A 2505 NOZZLE IN IT ,WITH A OPEN GUN , WITH NO PRESSURE GAGE ,I DONT KNOW THE PSI MOST LIKLEY AROUND 300 TO 400 PSI. VERY LITTLE OVER SPRAY

YOU WILL NEED 20 AMPS TO PLUG IT INTO AND A WET VAC.

I THANK I SAW A FEW ELETRIC HOT WATER UINTS ON THE HOTSY WEB SITE FOR AROUND $500. USED EQUIPMENT.

GOOD LUCK!
