ACID WASH on brick?

I have a new home construction company that is interested in me pressure washing there brick homes after construction is complete. The other developements that this company has built houses in were mainly pressure washed with an "ACID WASH".

1) What type of acid is usualy used for this?

2) How is it usually mixed & applied?

3) Do you use this on all colors & types of brick? or just the lighter color or darker colored brick?

4) If this is applied just like typical wash mix (thru down stream injector), is it OK for the acid wash mixture to be applied to the vinyl over hangs, windows etc?

Thanks for any info you all can give me.
