How many of you use one? Is it REALLY worth that much money?
How does it do on Oriental grease?

If anyone has ANY comments about degreasers, PLEASE jump in and talk!

Thanks guys!

Yes we use a spinner (rotating union) in kitchen grease exhaust ducts. We made it ourselves 6-8 years ago $500 or so.

We do many systems that have alot of horizontal ducts and multi story stacks. Last one was 5 stories and about 200 feet of horizontal. Gotta have a spinner to do these types of systems.

We prefer a Potassium Hydroxide based degreaser.

Thank You!

Most of the restaurant hoods I have done so far were single story stand alone structures.

I was looking at that one that Del-co sells with the wheels on it - are there any pro's & cons about that compared to the spinner cage without wheels?

Will I save enough time to justify the purchase if I don't have any multi-story systems yet?

I guess what I am trying to figure out is - will it cut my operating time to use it on all hood systems?
Most of the jobs are 3 - 4 hoods which take about 5 to 6 hours to finish. I want to try to reduce my time by about another hour without compromising the quality of my service.

I hope I'm not being a bother. I appreciate your help!
From me, Randy

Our spinner/cage is shaped like a football. Many of the systems that we have done have internal supports in the ducts. Anything that sticks out like wheels would get hung up! If you are doing stacks then having a spinner with a small cage should work.

I purchased a spinner from Mosmatic through the people in Texas, about $200 to $300. The wagon it goes on was about the same. I use the spinner on jobs with a vertical duct of more than 5 or 6 feet. Faster and does a better job.
