Best way to explain price increases to repeat customers?

I try hard to keep my prices down, but at some point we all have to raise prices to keep up with inflation. Any help with how to break the news would be appreciated. Thanks!

Everything goes up in price, just think of how much gas prices have gone up! Most people raise their prices about 5% each year just to maintain their profit levels.
