You need more then just bleach. There have been countless amounts of posts on this in the past, try the search function.

You should be adding some other things to the mix such as some Liquid Tide. That will act as a surfactant (makes your mixture stick to the house better) and will clean better. I also put a few squirts of "Pure Rinse" Liquid Cascade into my mix, which helps prevent streaking on the windows.

Bleach if we did a search would we have enough memory in our computers? That’s gotta be the #1 thing that keeps coming up time after time.

I usually don’t read them anymore but I seen mike answer so I was curious.

Yea, lots and lots of posts on mixes used to clean vinyl. I will share ours again:

5 gallon bucket:

1 1/2 gallon of ultra bleach
approx. 3 cups of liquid Tide
one long "squirt" of liquid Cascade
the rest water

I apply with X-Jet which gives me a mix of about 2 to 1

If you apply downstream you might want to add another 1 1/2 gallons of bleach and a couple more Tide.

Hope this helps.

Anyone tried using chlorine to wash vinyl and aluminum siding. It' gets the mildew and algae off great. Wonder what the effects are?
