I haven't finished yet, but here is where we are now. We are still tweaking it and looking foward to the day it is finished. This has made working much more enjoyable, the speed in which we complete jobs is impressive.

Tim,
The truck looks great!! I have just a few questions to ask about your truck. Since its a 4 cyl Turbo Diesel how much did the truck weigh before you put all the equipment on it and how much weight can the truck hold and how much can it tow??

Another words whats the GVW empty and the GVWR?

The truck with the custom bed was street legal to carry 5500 lbs before I made the changes to it. The 4 cyl is strong and will pull pretty darn good, it's geared low. I only carry chems from job to job averaging 100gal, sometimes I carry water If needed. I actually filled all the tanks with water (660 gal) to see how it did, she was not as quick, but ran good and had no problems stopping.

John that isuzu wont have any problem with a landscape trailer. it might not be fast but it will pull it no problem.

Thanks Greg. Thats what I was thinking when I bought it. The truck is geared low and at most the dump will have in it Grass Clippings that will be dumped.

Here's one that may sound nuts. When I bought the truck in NJ I filled the tank there because Diesel is at least 50 cents a Gallon cheaper then my overtaxed state. 92 miles later I topped it off by my house and it only took 3.1 gallons of diesel. 30mpg highway!! Sounds wrong but thats what it took..Go figure.

Tim--Thanks for the info. I bought this truck http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...TRK:MEWA:PIC&viewitem=&item=110149150158&rd=1
which is sitting in my yard. I plan on using this truck for landscaping next year which is an add on to my current powerwashing business. Its a 4 cyl diesel also and I'm hoping it has the strength to pull a trailer that may be up to 6000lbs from house to house.

That truck is great! It will handle a trailer just fine, don't look for 30mpg in town pulling a trailer though. I get about 12 in mine, but they are a lot of fun. I bet you can turn that truck around in a 5 gallon bucket, that thing looks really good!
