Buying Another toy

Did a job for guy this weekend and he had a `49 studebaker sitting out back . for sale SOOOOOOOOO I thought huh wonder if it runs . so I ask him about it and we hooked up the jumper-cabels added gas and Vrooooommmm fired right up.

all the glass is there .......and there is only 2-3 holes in the body..........

Next week I go pick it up...................

Thought about putting a p/wer in that masive trunk and doing some washing

Did it have matching numbers?

Unless your going to rent it to a movie maker leave the flames and low pro's off of it,it will bring more money later on if you do.

What I look for when buying old toys is matching numbers,they worth more,my 71 vettie has all matching numbers plus a folder with all the repairs and oil changes in its life time,makes it worth more.My 49 ford has all matching numbers but no folder on repairs and stuff which made it cost less.When you start working on the old stupidbaker make a folder and list things you did and replaced.

The guy who owns it now bought it 5 years ago and it sat in his garage the only thing he did to it was fire it up once a in awhile and went for a Sunday drive.

I agree about the flames and low-pro............. but you failed to comment on the p/wer in the trunk.

Last week I took time off from every-body and every-thing and cleaned my garage .... I painted the walls added new lights and built new cabinets..........everything is so freakin neat I did not aloow my wife to park her car in there for awhile b/c I did not want her to drag any dirt on my floor.

So now I will have another winter project with new walls and new lighting........... Man whats beter then that? ||||TOOLS I need new TOOLS ||||
