I am having some trouble with my cleaners being drawn up the the chemicle injector and out my nozzle when I use my 24 ft extension pole with the chemicle nozzle on the end.My hook up is as follows.18 hp Vanguard Briggs & stratton motor 3000 psi Landa hot water skid mount unit.with 150 ft of hose attached to my extension pole.chemicle is in a 1 gal.jug sitting on the floor of my trailer with the chemicle pick up tube and strainer put into the jug.No chem.will come out the extension pole but it will come out of my reg 3ft wand when I have either hot or cold water running. If anyone has any ideas I would like to hear of them

Thank You Have a good day John

John, I bet your extension wand has a 1/4" hose running thru the pole. you chemical injector will never draw if it does.

Sounds to me like you need an X Jet nozzle. I have never used one personally but from what I hear you will put the extension wand down and forget about it. The guys I've talked to that have them say the will shoot about 30' in the air on average.

If you look back at some of the older posts you will see a couple of discussions about the X Jet. Read them and form your own opinion. If you decide to get one you should call around before you buy. From what I heaa the prices vary from place to place.

I agree with Ethan, the friction in the small hose causes backpressure, therefore you will not get enough drop in pressure when you put a soap tip on. I guess I explained it so you can understand...

The x-jet would probably work well for you.......very easy to use. Just make sure you get the close range attachment if you buy one. The x-jet is designed to spray 30-40 feet in the air, so when you want to spray something up close (like a mobile home, or garage) you need to add the close range attachment (it screws on).

Wait a minute...
I have a 3000psi 4gpm hot water machine and use extension wands regularly. The ext. wands have 1/4 hoses and I wouldn't have it any other way. My 24 ft. came with a 3/8 hose and I replaced it with a 1/4 for less weight and better handling. I have 250 ft. of hose and I haven't had this problem. I usually inject soap with a drilled out zero degree nozzle on a 3 ft. wand but have used a soap tip on a ext. wand with no problem. Where is your downstream injector located? Mine is right after the heater. You might try a different (higher flow) injector. Easiest way and fastest to get soap on the side of a house (1 and 2 story) is the drilled out zero degree tip though.
