Hey Wiz, What would make a down stream chemical injector work part of the time and then quit? Haven't changed anything so I know I am getting the pressure drop.

Usually it is soap stuck on the tiny ball inside of the injector or in the check valve on the end of the chem hose. Those are the two main malfunctions. Some times that little ball inside of the injector gets stuck.

HWW, Is it a big problem to take apart? I know the check valve on the end of the chem. hose is not stuck. You can here the ball rattle when you shake it. I appreciate the help. I'm trying not to sound stupid, but this is something that I have not had any experience dealing with.

If your injector has an adjustment knob on it you remove the part that holds that on to the injector with a wrench. Do it in a coffee can so you don't loose any small parts the tiny ball will fly and will get lost if you don't use a can.

If it is one of the new general injectors that comes with the quick connects, they have had a problem with them. As long as you are running cold water they work fine. As soon as you start hot water they start having problems. I just recently had this happen to me. The local distributor made it good for me though.
