I read alot of times that people just spray on there chemicals on roofs and rinse off and bamm its new again. I want to know if you ever have to get on roof and use your surface cleaner? or does the chemicals do all the work. if so what chemicals do the trick because im here in west palm beach fl where algae roofs out number power washers. would like to know some info on chemical mixtures you can email me at www.2_BROTHERS_AND_A_PRESSURE_CLEANER@MSN.COM

I don't know if you are talking about tile roofs or asphalt shingles, but if it is shingles I would avoid the surface spinner routine. Too much potential damage to the surface of the roof. If we run into tough stains, we agitate the area by hand with a SOFT scrub-brush (on a full length handle) and then continue to rinse. I will email you info on our roof cleaner.

No sir, you are not dreaming.

It's called pool chlorine. spray on from ground. rinse from ground or wait until just before good rain and let god help you.

p.s. u can't use bleach everywhere and precautions must be taken not to damage things.

I am also looking for a product like you are dreaming about to use where i can't use bleach. if you find one that's not $1200 a barrell. let me know 2 please.

quats

TONY C.

thx. I have found out what quats are but can you recommend the best one. I was looking at physan. can anyone elaborate on the use of quats?

thanks all.

btw, i used oxyclean on a roof this morning. results are still pending. I will let you all know. Dirt & grime seems to roll right off without damaging the cedar siding or plants. Of course it doesn't work as good as bleach but seems to work as good as sodium hydroxide on roofs.

has anyone ever mixed pool shock with chlorine? or is this not a good mixture. what are a good couple of over the counter mixtures someone can make when on a tight budget?

There is a chlorine based pool shock treatment, and a non chlorine based O2 shock treatment.
