I must admit, business was pretty good. This was my first year in business and I was able to complete 45 decks working only Saturday's and evenings. I probably could have done 10 more if the weather would have been better (rain). I expect this number and profits to increase next year and hopefully by year 3 it will be a full-time business.

It has been basically a wash. We increased in other areas of our business which off set the losses on the residential PW'ing. My local supplier said that paints are down 11% and sealers and stains down 15%. We had a very unusual year in the Northeast when looking at measurable days of rain. With the weather conditions and the figures I hear from distibutors and the like it is difficult for me to understand how so many folks can be way up. If you are a relatively new business and been growing I can understand the trend. For those who have been in business for say 5 plus years in this area, I would say they have done well if their sales have increased.

From November 2002 to September 2003 it was the most challenging period from a scheduling point of view I have ever faced.

To small,I'd throw it back too..

They say the older you get Mark faster christmas will come..

I've seen several new newbee's this year and they're still bout four newbee's left from last year.Do all I want, still turn down jobs so I guess everything is ok.

I'd enjoy christmas alot more if the lakes and rivers wasn't frozen over or having to wade snow, sleet to my honey holes.Cann't see why they cann't move christmas to the 25 of July.

hope everybody has safe and enjoyable christmas,,

I have two pending accounts that will most likely be decided in the month of December. If they go through, business was better. If not, it was alot worse than last year.

Great year for graffiti, horrible year for building / commercial space. But within the last four months even that has come out of the hole, things are getting leased up and we,re back at building. So no real complaints.

Got the kids a go cart for X-mas shhh don't tell mom ;)
