[Revive]

We used a product from Zep called "Morano". Suposed to have a chemical make up simalar to "gutter zap" (which is not available in Canada). We diluted it to what the instuctions said.Tested it on my own house,not amazing but OK. Tried it at a customers house,now I have to replace their eaves as it removed the paint off the underside. No damage to the fronts,or facia. Other than sorry about your luck,any "constuctive " comments are welcomed.

Wow! What is in that stuff? It doesn't make sense that it would damage one area but not the other. hmmm. Were you trying to clean the gutters? If so, how did it get on the eaves? I use Simple Green - straight, applied with a soft bristle brush, to remove the black streaks. Very inexpensive and readily available.

They were to clean the gutters,which they did, and them wash the black off. Seems that something obviously went wrong. Are you saying that simple green can actually get it (air born dirt/ black streaks) off with no scrubbing?
