I'm looking at purchasing a unit, and some equipment. I live in Wyoming, and would like to have the equipment shipped from New York, are there any freight shipping companies you would Suggest?

I would suggest letting the company your ordering from do the saying who.Most try looking for the cheapest rates and service to you,I wash a fleet that goes all over the states and I had them to pickup a order for me thinking it would be cheaper,I was wrong.I have other drivers now that will pick it up for me for nothing............or
You could go to the truckers bbs and post your needing a ordered pickup,alot of those guys will add it to their load if close enough to make alittle extra cash on their way though your area.Even hotshots looks at that bbs to add to his orders as he's working his way though the states but think best is to let the company your ordering from take care of it for more seasons than one.

I think Bigboy is right by suggesting the seller provide the shipping. If you have damage in shipping you would have immediate recourse.
If you have an independant do the hauling it may take awhile to get the problem corrected.
Ask the seller what the charges will be ahead of time!
Also be advised if it is a large item you will be picking it up at the trucking companys terminal in most cases.
I myself have been toying with the idea of picking a skid unit up in Springdale, Arkansas. Nothing my Power Stroke diesel couldn't handle.

You are correct. I would be puchasing it through the distributor but picking it FOB Arkansas. To ship to my loction in Texas the freight was $289.00 by truck.

Thanks for the help guys. I am looking at purchasing the unit used, from an individual in New York. He has quoted me a reasonable price on the machine and some misc. equipment, but I am trying to figure freight cost on the deal to see if I would still be money ahead. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
