Help, want to supply washer from tank..

I have a 8 hp briggs new from nort***n that i had on a belt drive setup.. had to many problems with it . now i am going to a direct drive setup . just purchased a comet 3/ 3000 axd3030g. i supplied my old setup with a 100 gal tank , monted on a 5x8 trailer. i still want to use this setup but the new comet pump has a garden hose inlet .?

does the pump have enough draft to pull the water from a gravity style tank?

If your pump is at or below the water line in the tank There should be no problem with the comet pump drawing in the water. You will want to make sure you have no air leaks on the inlet side of the pump. You may have to force feed water through the new pump initially, but after that it should draw on its own.
