Curious, why would you want to build your own surface cleaner?

My guess would be because he's an inventor, engineer or just curious about machinery. From the pics it looks like not too bad of a job. However, the handle system appears to move only side to side which wouldn't accomodate mobility.

Necessity is the "mother of invention". Most great innovations come from people in an industry who recognize an unmet need and try to fulfill that need. Although there's a need for surface cleaners, this one doesn't seem to fit the bill of "innovation". Don't despair oh' surface cleaner creator. Looks like you did pretty good work. Rethink the handle.

Jet, Very nice. How about more details, materials used, etc. It looks like Stainless Steel. You must have access to a mig or tig. Did you fab it yourself?

CCPC,

My name is Josh and I live in North Jax. I have been researching the pressure washing business for well over a year now. I have a solid business plan, established a corporation, tax ID, website, and have cash. All I need is to get the equipment, licensed, insured and most of all experience. How long have you been in business? Has it been good to you? What chems do you use? Who do you puchashe your equipment and chems? What equipment do you reccomend, mainly for residential for starters? Do you partner up with other pressure washers for large jobs? I'm sorry I have so many questions? I'm a bit apprehensive about risking my entire life savings on this business. But I see the need for pressure washing everywhere. Thank you for any advise, my email is joshuwaa@comcast.net

And 5 Star Johnny. DA DA NAH NAH NAH GO PACK GO!!!

I'm from Appleton originally

The cleaner is made of .080 301 Stainless. I am a structures/sheetmetal tech for a major airline. I bent up all the pieces the pieces and tig'd them myself. the reason i built it was a comp one is about 450 and this one cost about 90 to build and about twelve hrs rainy day time. The swivel is just a 4000 psi hydraulic swivel which cost about 45 bucks.

Squirt, 90.00 materials only, plus 12 hrs @ you pick the rate to fab it up. He would need at least 300.00 for labor and that would be too cheap. But I know you meant it all in jest.

Jet, How about a closeup of that swival mount? Please Im curious.
