Hot V Cold?

Please don’t yell at me I have been doing my home work. I just can’t make up my mind between a cold water unit, and a hot. This is an add on to my window cleaning business which has a lot of competition and the pw market that has a lot less. I have been reading for a long time and realize that hot water is faster and better but the money is a factor. How many of you started with cold water units and added hot box? Or should I say can a cold water unit keep me in enough jobs to live on?
(Money only spends once)
Thanks Guys, you are a lot of help.
Mac.

Depends on what you want to clean... I started out with a cold unit and converted to hot. I have a hotbox for a backup now. Hot is nicer and cleans better... ie : wash half your dinner dishes in hot water and half in cold... See which clean easier

Hot vs Cold

Gday imAc. I'm just going through the same thing although for me hot water is the go. Im In Australia. I've just run out of money and I have to get a hot water heater which on average is $2000. If you can afford it get a hot water unit. If your like me I want to be able to give the punter the best value for their money. We have to remember to charge accordinlly. A good job deserves good pay. walldog

We have a hot water unit and run the heat maybe 10% of the time. If you are just getting started and cash is a serious issue - go with cold. There are some jobs you simply cannot do without hot, but most of those require the experience just as much as the heat. You can find plenty of residential and even commercial jobs with cold water.

PressureForce,
I see you're from the Carolina's too. I'm about 45 min. above Charlotte
( Shelby ) and could use some help please. I did pressure cleaning years... ago, and planning on getting back into it.

Would you know a good name for my business name, say a name with "clean" in it?

What do you wash during the winter months?

How much slower ( percentage ), does your business slow down in the winter?

Please tell me a little about your company.

How long in business, etc.?

Thank you!
