You might want to talk to your authority about pulling water from a hydrant. Here you need to use a meter - rent meter, then pay for water. The meter rental is not cheap, as there is a one year period.

Hey Onecall,

In Maryland you have to get a meter from the water department. I think it's the wssc. You rent them for 6 months, pay a deposit usually $150 then they return the money for the water you don't use. If I remeber correctly, there's a 75 dollar charge. I've got one now actually and never use it..lol

Just for....

I have a contract with the county to do their outside services at several senior citizen centers. They allow me to fill up at the hydrant free of charge. Remember, we live down south here. WSSC does not come down this far. We are on county water.

Just wondering if anybody knew of a couple of places. The place I get them from (Beltsville Supply) went up on their prices by $20.00 per hose and I did not even check the couplings. So I am just looking to replace a vendor.
