I read many months ago that some people put liquid car wax in there house wash or rinse water. Can anyone tell me what the best type to use is, how they mix it, and how its workded for them?

Also, has anyone tell me about a product someone mentioned many months ago that once you apply it, it will keep the vinyl siding shining for up to a year?

Thanks for the help in advance.

i am finding out the wax that is being sold for houses that you mention,is really car wax purchased in bulk and marked up considerably.

look for a wholesale car wash soap distributor and purchase it from them.

Most chems are bought in bulk, repackaged in smaller containers, and marked up considerably. How much are you really going to save buying it in bulk, given the relatively miniscule amount most of us use? I put maybe an ounce of wax in a 5 gallon bucket of housewash, so say two ounces per house...I get 64 housewashes per gallon. If I pay $4.00/gallon or $20.00/gallon, it isn't going to make a noticeable difference to my bottom line, certainly not enough to make it worth spending time finding a distributor, storing a large amount, etc. Now, if you were doing fleets and used a LOT, I could understand.

Altho chemicals can be bought in bulk, they are not marked up considerably when buying in smaller buckets, bottles. The cost of bottling, handling, packing to smaller containers the word considerably has barely got its nose above water, just like everything else.

None of the Auto, fleet waxes will last long whether it be on a house or truck,Stay away from the cheaper waxes, some will leave a film, some will gum up under the wiper blades.

I've heard tell about a wax lasting up to a year as you but know nothing about it nor its name.
