Hello

Just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone. My husband and I have justed started our own power washing business this month. We are located in Hillsdale, MI and have been power washing on the weekends for another guy for a year and were tired of only getting 40% and doing all the work. So here we are getting started in our own business adventure.
Glad there is a forum for power washers!

Hey Everybody. My name is Shannon (I am a guy for those who were wondering) I have been in the business for about a year and a half as a sub for new construction. I am branching out on my own trying to do more than new contruction. I found this site about three months ago and have been scaning the posts to get the feel for the site. It looks like a good place for advice given and taken. I think I have a pretty good feel for the business but everyone needs some help sometimes. Have a good one everybody.

Hi how is everyone, I just started on my own this year. A little slow but getting by. I live in ct. and Im alway willing to learn more. I don't have no big power washing rig yet I'm working off my ladders and carry all my stuff in the back of the truck. I am trying to get in with hotels starting in ct. and going all the way down I-95 to fl. Who knows what luck I'll have but here goes.

Chrisb, new guy in central California

Hi all, hope I'm clicking the right buttons to get started off on the right foot. Sure appreciate all the information around here. It's a big help for someone trying to get started. I plan to focus on kitchen exhaust but am considering gas stations too. I need to find as much work as possible. I quit my high tech job in April after more than 25 years in that business. I've picked up a few used, very cheap machines over the past few weeks but I don't have a reliable setup yet. Looking forward to contributing as best I can in the future. Thanks, Chris Balcom

Hello Everybody !!!

Hello All,

My name is Steve and I am in Santa Cruz, California and am starting a small Powerwashing service part-Time here. I have a 3500 13hp Landa coldwater washer and a Landa waterjet surface Cleaner. The Basics for now until I get better at washing and bidding. I live in a very Eco-friendly area close to the ocean so chemicals are really not an option for me and I just did a concrete floor restaurant and the city environmentalist lady told me I have to capture any water used with pressure and dump it in a drain. Are there any economical solutions other than a shopvac ??? Thanks everyone in advance and am so glad to be part of a great informative community

Thanks

Steve

Welcome to the PWN!

Chris & Steve.

Steve there are sump pumps that can be used if you damn
up the wash water using berms etc. Shop Vacs are inexpensive,
then there are also plenty other solutions available.

Als try the Search Button at the top of page, you will find
plenty of information available here. [hello]

Just to say hi.

Been powerwashing part time for about 4 years. I always am looking for more knowledge on these sites. Seems that sometimes you can pick up some pointers. I am not out to steal anyones business, just trying to make ends meet in this unstable economy.

x jet vs x jet m5

I have been using the x jet for years and I think it has saved more time and energy than any tool I have. What is the difference in the x jet and the x jet m5 nozzle? And what are the pros and cons of the newer m5?
