nozzels on a 24" surface cleaner

Hey all,
This is my first post ever. I have leaned a good bit from this site. One question I have though is about a surface cleaner I just purchased. It is a 24" whirl-a-way "tri arm", nice lookin machine. It came with 3 #2 nozzels I believe. I am using a 3500@4 cold water (for now). It just doesn't seem to clean as well as the 18" ultra clean I had. A guy in town has 1.5 nozzels. Would changing the nozzels help with the cleaning at all, is it worth the $20.00. Thanx for dealin w/me, and I appreciate your time.

Those 3 #2 tips are giving you 2000 psi if they are in good shape, vs the 1.5 tips that would give you 3000 psi.
Well worth the $20.00. If you do not already have an inline filter for the surface cleaner, get one of those as well. The 1.5 tips can clog real easy.

Alan,
Thanx I took your advice and went on and got the nozz. they seem to be working great. definently worth the $20. The only thing I now worry about is, if they are putting to much strain on the swivel. I guess the cleaner probably came w/#2's for a reason. I think it will be alright. Sorry it took me so long to respond. My computer has been acting up. thanks again.

The swivel will be fine...It came with larger nozzles because it had been set up for a larger machine. Changing the nozzles to fit your machine simply allows it to operate as designed.

The swivel on that unit is rated to 3500 psi at 6 gpm so with your machine, you will be fine. As Mike said, it came with larger nozzles for a larger machine. When you do get some heat, it is rated for 180°.
