parking lot striping

Does anyone out there do parking lot striping, as a side to flat work? I need to give an estimate to a customer for doing 20,000 sq.ft. of concrete and he would like me to restripe the parking lot. If I decide to do it I am considering buying a a walk behind unit that uses the 20oz. flipped paint cans. Has anyone ever used one? Pro's & Con's ? Technique? Thanks for any help you may offer!

Don’t let yourself be swayed into the trap of expanding into too many completely different fields. Parking lot striping leads into sealants, repair and then asphalt paving itself. All of which takes specialized equipment, which needs to be used on a constant basis to make economic sense. And remember there are already about a “Kazillionâ€￾ companies out there already doing it for little to nothing. If I were you I would team up with a asphalt company who does striping, repair, sweeping etc. and do the power washing for them.

The stripers with the aerosol cans dont work worth a crap,dont waste your money. If your not set up to do this contract someone to do it for you. add 10 to15% to their price.
