Here's a picture of one of our trucks. Many others have been showing theirs and I thought I would put a picture of one of ours up.

I am getting jealous here, all you guys with rigs on flat bed trucks and all I have is a trailer!

Nice rig indeed.

Now if Rick down there in Texas would only post his trade secret so we can all see it, well Rick?

Nice looking rig you have. Looks new, how long you had it? What year is it?
I might as well start asking you some of the questions I've already had to answer, but first our question.

Where do you put your spare tire? We still haven't found a place for ours yet.

What about toolboxs, chemicals, hosereels, waterhose, your signs, ladder rack, what is your gvw,is this a 9ft bed and what did it cost you if you dont mind saying. Also would like to see your other rigs, and RICK's Secret Rig IN TEXAS. Where are you from?

Thank everyone!
Our company focusses almost entirely on commercial flat surface concrete. We do not clean any residential or vehicles of any kind. So this truck does not need to have any ladders or exotic chemicals.

Answers to the questions:

Toolbox-We have a small toolbox that is mounted under the bed on the drivers side. We have found that it is a waste of space and time to have a large number of tools with us. In this we also carry our spare parts

Chemicals-the main chemical we carry with us is a degreaser in a 30 gal drum. From the picture you can not see it. We use a post-heater down stream to spread the chemical it is attached to the driver side machine in the picture.

Hose reels-When I took this picture I had just robbed the reels from this truck to go on another set up. I have replaced them. They are swivel 200' reels that are mounted next to the machines on the side nearest the cab. As for our water hose, we just put that down in the water tank. When we need it we just pull it out. We have a hook so it doesn't fall all the way in.

Signs-We took them off of this truck. Right now we have enough business to take us to about Feb-March. And we really can't handle any more until get enough time to hire/train some more employees. I have been having a hard time finding people I can trust to send out on the job and complete it up to my standards. If anyone has any good tricks on hiring good help I would love to hear it. Anyway back to the business part of it. I hate to turn away any potential customers, by saying we are too busy right now. So we removed our signs so we do not get any more calls. We only had small magnetic door signs with our number on it anyway. I have found that larger companies, which we target are not going to call these anyway so they really were not serving all that much purpose. But when we can hire some more people we are going to add at least two more trucks, we could really use that right now, and go back to selling.

Bed- it is a 12' bed with a gvw of 13,000 I think.

Truck-the truck is a 2000 dodge 3500 with 5.9 cummins deisel. The truck's sticker was 36,000 and we got it for 28,500 after haggling, rebates, etc. Also we just had those butt-ugly mirrors changed to the sleek dodge mirrors which look very similar to Ford's style of mirrors.

We just bought the truck in July. Our first set-up that we bought in Feb was a trailer set up and we did some calculating and figured out that the gas money we saved per month was it the range of the new truck payment. We sold our chevy one-ton and trailer and bought this.

If anyone has anymore questions I would be happy to answer them.

To David and all we are based in Lexington,KY. However, only about 25% of our business is located there. We actually travel in about a 250 mi radius to do work.

To Bling Bling and anyone else wondering how I got my commercial flat work:
I posted an idea to help people get commercial flat work about 10 days ago (contract help was the title). I looked at it this morning and only ~30 people had viewed it and no one had responded. I was just assuming no one was interested in that topic. What I posted there was one of the main "secrets" we have to getting commercial flat work. You can read that or if you have questions I don't mind helping anyone as long as you are not stepping on my cash flow, LOL.

Yea What brand are they. They look like AALADIN or Alkota . One of them has a Dayton Generator and Vanguard Engine. The other Has a Power Guard Generator and a Honda engine Right?

Actually the machines are neither aaladin or Alkota. they are made by a company in Chatanooga (sp). The name of the company is Clique. The machines are semi-custom made. The company has a combination of different motors and pumps to put together. I bought these from a distributor. These machines are fairly standard though(3000@5 and 3500@5.5). I attached a little closer pictures of the 20. I am getting ready buy another exactly like this one I really like them.

Wiz you're correct about the generators, but why did you ask? Is there something odd about those generators?

If anyone has anymore questions please ask.
