pressure loss

Start with the easy stuff first
charge the battery
give all the hose clamps a good turn[looking for air leaks]
make sure your injectors are in the chem or in water, even if they are shut off. [they can leak air]
If you were useing heat change the fuel filter.
Make sure the in-line water filter is clean.
The weather is changing and metal contracts.
I'll say you have a air leak somewhere.
If that's not it then your going to have to take a hard look at your pump. Is the oil milky looking? How old is it?

A funny thing happened the other day with my pressure ....... I had 2800 @ the pump but @ the gun it felt like 1200 ...... so I un-rolled all the hose 100' or so and my pressure went back up....... weord huh?

Chris,

The problem you described is a little vague. Maybe you can answer a few questions so I can have some data to help troubleshoot your machine.

Is this a hot pressure washer or cold water unit? What kind of unloader are you running?
You may have an unloader problem. (Sometimes K-7 unladers and others will partially hang up in bypass) this would show symptoms similar to what you described. If you pinch off the bypass line WITH GUN OPEN ONLY the pressure will increase if you are bypasing water.

Call me if I can be of assistance.

:)
