Hi All
1st time for this problem. I have some dried soap streaks on windows. Even after cleaning with limonene/ oxalic/ Cascade jell/ and brasso. I wonder if they are etched into the glass. We use Limonene and oxalic acid to neutralize.
So chem is one of those. Looking for some help.
I sure do not want to replace any windows. Thanks Tim

Hey Tim. Sorry I cannot help you with the glass problem (have you tried soft scrub?).

Just curious though, I saw an earlier post of yours to rosetech, saying you're in Howell. There is an All-Brite in the yellow pages in Sterling Heights, also. Same? Different? You may want to check into that if it's a different company. Hate to see someone's rep get ruined due to a competitor with the same name that may not provide a good service.

it was the limonlene that did it.
The place you bought your limonlene sell's GLASS DE-ETCH.
Buy it and use a high speed polisher.
Lot's of work.
jewlers rouge will also work.
Now you know, never ever let limonlene dry on glass or aluminum.
Or paint for that matter.
Makes pretty rainbow streaks.

If it is dried soap streaks, SoftScrub may work. It is slightly gritty, and you polish it in with a cotton towel. If the acid etched the glass, you're in bigger trouble.

I ordered the de etch and the scum buster as well as brasso.
I pray that one of these will work.
We just did 2 other houses with the same stuff but are REAL CAREFUL to Rinse,Rinse Rinse. Thanks guys for the advice I will keep you posted. Oh we are only in howell and we are Inc.

Tim if none of those work try #0000 steel wool with dawn or a glass cleaner, this is what I use to clean windsheilds and glass, make sure its the #0000(four O's).Then after cleaned you can use a glass polish to make them look as tho no glass is there, neither takes long to do............try a test spot

Ok Guys here,s what we used
We ordered the Scum buster it worked GREAT !
I just used a scuffy pad/ sponge and went over the windows then rubbed it off with cloth rags. We did all the windows!
It took me 4hrs but it was worth it .
Happy customers once more!!!! That was the goal. They even called to thank me again for the way we got right on and solved the problem. We will keep that product in our box and watch out for soap starting to dry .We must remember to Rinse, Rinse Rinse.
Thanks again for all the help. Tim
