Quick Connects on Inlet Water Supply

I have no luck in finding a good quick connect which would allow me to QC my water supply hose to my PW. Have tried Home Depot, hardware store and a couple of mail order sets. They tend to leak like crazy, or not seal all the way. How are the rest of you set up?

Go to a hydralic hose company.

Or try a pressure washer supplier but skip the retail stores, they do not buy ones that hold up to the kind of pressure your using.

One other thing, buy tons of O rings and replace them weekly, heat wears them out fast.

Ron, have been using the brass type - you are correct, the plastic won't work worth a hoot. Will try another set of brass and perhaps replace the washer that comes with the fittings with a higher grade washer or hose O ring.

All the QC that I see have only a 1/2 inch hole in them. Isn't this going to kill the GPM and make a tank fill take an eternity? Or is there some larger ones out there.

Yes the reduced I.D. (1/2" could slow down the filling of your water tank.

I will check out the ones we have available, and see what the
inlet i.d. is.

I am running a direct feed CW system. When water pressure is fairly low you are correct - flow seems limited. But even when the pressure is decent I have encountered the origianlly mentioned problems with leakage, etc.
