What the manufactures dont tell you is the long term damage chlorine/bleach does to asphalt shingels................ They either dont really know or they dont really care......... If I sold shingles I would suggest chlorine/bleach as well. It has been proven that using those products that it shortens the LIFE of asphalt.



What part of this is not helping somebody else out?

Why do you feel the need to change someone's post to reflect an opinion they obviously don't have? That's just downright dishonest, but as I said, par for the course here.

Who has proven chlorine damages shingles? How does it damage them? Where is this "proof"?? The only people I ever hear say anything like that are those who use (or sell) a Sodium Hydroxide cleaner.

Sodium Hydroxide, a degreaser, being sprayed on an asphalt (petroleum based) shingles certainly can't be good for them. Why would a contractor put a product on asphalt shinges that he/she wouldn't even think about using on asphalt?

Well, let's see....There was one post responding to Josh's "one question" about what damages roofs more, chlorine or algae...Then there was the post responding to Dan S saying that we all came here to post because PWI died...And finally the post questioning Dan's "mistaken" changing of CCPC's post, as well as his bogus claims of proof that chlorine causes long term damage to roofs.

Now, which one of those three posts did your little redneck brain think was talking about Dan's supersecret roof cleaning franchise???
