Why do you feel the need to change someone's post to reflect an opinion they obviously don't have? That's just downright dishonest, but as I said, par for the course here.
Who has proven chlorine damages shingles? How does it damage them? Where is this "proof"?? The only people I ever hear say anything like that are those who use (or sell) a Sodium Hydroxide cleaner.
Sodium Hydroxide, a degreaser, being sprayed on an asphalt (petroleum based) shingles certainly can't be good for them. Why would a contractor put a product on asphalt shinges that he/she wouldn't even think about using on asphalt?
