Sealing A Damp Deck

Had a deck built on the house last August and didn't seal it at the time. Now, it's getting dirty looking from all the weather. Wife wants me make it look new again. Haven't done a deck job in 5 years, we mainly do fleets and hoods. It hasn't stopped raining in this part of the world for more than 12 hours-constant showers. What I remember is the wood has to be bone dry before sealing can take place. Are any decks being cleaned and sealed in the rainy midwest right now or do I need to wait until July? Are there "good" products available that can be applied to wet wood?

There are some water based products that can be applied to damp wood, however I have no experience with them.

Generally speaking, they are not as desireable as an oil based sealer.
