several questions

I have recently started PWing part time, and everytime I go out to a job I come back with new questions. So Im just going to ask them all. Feel free to answer any or all.

1. When pressure cleaning high places, is a ladder safe? I have a 10 foot "A-frame" ladder. I have heard people say that the telescope extension does not work well (to hard o control when fully extended), and scafolds can be expensive. Any alternatives if a ladder is not right?

2. What about rooftops? Do you have a safety line attached or anything like that? What are some of the safety measures for cleaning roofs?

3. I know that it is a good idea to turn new customers into repeat customers, but going about getting them to have this done on a regular bases is sometimes difficult. I tell them that it would be best to have there driveways, roofs and walls cleaned 3-4 times per year. Is this correct?

4. The last question for right now is: what is the busy and slow season for south Florida?

I know that this is alot to ask, but any help would be great. Thank you.

Ladders and pressure washers do not mix very well, get yourself an adjustable nozzle x-jet. A telescoping wand halfway extended plus an x-jet will hit most buildings.

For roofs that are walkable I personally don't use a safety harness. For steep roofs most definately use a safety harness and rope system.

Nah shouldn't be necessary. I think once a year is plenty.

I dunno about Florida, but its about dead here in TN.
