Shopping carts/Sidewalks?

I am not new to pwing business, but new to the area of shopping carts and grocery store sidewalks. I work full time as a sales rep for a large beverage company and know ALOT of store managers, and their bosses. I am leary to approach this one (conflict of interest with my company), but should I decide to, are the store managers themselves responsible for making the call on pwing services? These are large chain stores. Any info. is appreciated.

Hey, R.E. Never thought I'd be giving you advice, but here goes: I AM new to the biz, but I have checked into this extensively. The store manager is the place to start. Many times, though, the parking lot and sidewalks are maintained by the property owner. That's usually a property managing firm. That opens the door to new headaches dealing with coporate.
I submitted a bid for a parking lot (Goody's Dept Store & Staples) in Nacogdoches, Tx. The property is maintained by one of those companies in Cincinnati, Oh.
The store manager can give you the proper info. Hope that helps. Take care.

I have found the following to be the best to find who you want in most commercial or industrial work.

Chains still have a Manager who is charge of a particular store. Then there is the General or Area manager who are in charge of the managers for the particular store. The GM's or AM's are in charge of a certain area consisting of more than 1 store. These are the ones you need to find. You could go into a store and ask for a manager and 5 come running, and most don't care how the store looks until inspection, customer complaint, or the Area Manager wants it done.

Eatery Chain = Kitchen manager who is responsible in most for cleanliness.
Fast Food= Area manager, and their name is usually on a plaque in the front.
Hotels Hospitals, and so forth= Maintenance Dept Head
Malls= Maintenace Dept Head
Strip malls = Property managers or usually the store itself is responsible for it's sidewalk.

The list is endless. Just stay away from the customer service counters or reception, they could care less. Usually the back door in some instances unlees it's a bank. That would be bad LOL
