solid stain

I just completed an elevated deck, cleaned and sealed. I followed one of the BB posts and tried the solid pastel white from Cuprinol. Boy, does that stuff cover. It looked great. I was somewhat skeptic on the solid stain on wood, hides the beauty of wood, but the color matched the house' decorum. I honestly was very impressed with the coverage. I had to replace an entire 16' board, and you really can't tell which board was replaced. The coverage on smooth wood was greater than I anticipated, the label states >500sf. On the horizontal surfaces I applied two coats, it is scuff resistant and has a mildew retardant in it. I want to thank whoever it was that recommended this product, it works perfectly.

Hey Reed,
I wouldn't believe what it says on the can...just pick up a jug of Thompsons...according to them they are more superior than any other product...when I think everyone knows they suck.As far as solid on a deck goes,I have yet to see one that didn't fail.(YES EVEN CABOT!)
