Surface Cleaner

I am considering buying a new concrete surface cleaner.
It is a "Glider" made by Whitco.
Anyone have or heard about these. They cost $1500.00. Just wondering if they are a good unit. The Glider weighs 155 pounds! My old Steele Eagle just weighs 45 pounds.
Thanks for any feedback.

Thanks Wisard,
I know a little about most of the surface cleaners out there.
This one looks so much better built than the rest. It weighs 155 pounds and has alot of features.
I wish I could see one
before I buy. No one has one in stock, so I have only seen pictures.
See ya! Bill @ Aqua-Blast House Wash

Mr. Aquaman,

Are you serious about purchasing a 155lb. surface cleaner. I have been researching and shopping for surface cleaners but I knew before I started, that I didn't want to lug around a 155lb anything. Really, don't even consider that machine. Too heavy and too expensive. There are a number on good surface cleaners our there that weigh from 25 to 50lbs. Your main concern should be weight, durability, compactness, convenience, cost and availability of replacement parts, especially the swivel. Here are some types to check out. Hydrotech, Comet, Steel Eagle, Simpson, Whisper Washer, Turbotwister and lots more. The Whisper washer has a one year warranty on the entire machine and the swivel repair kit is $70, no greasing the swivel either. Most of these machines range in price from $600 to $1000. I purchased a whisper washer. Seemed to be the best deal and has the features I am looking for. I haven't recieved it yet. I have heard good things about them though. Good luck to you.

Hey Guys,

I have had a Whisper Wash now for 3 or 4 years. Never had a problem. The gun went out this year. Took me 15.00 and 10 minutes to fix.

I say go for the Whisper Washer, I love mine, gets heavy use and I do abuse it at times, never a bit of a problem out of it.

Get the 28" one as you can do more in less time.

Thanks for the replies guy's!
I have decided to buy a 30" 3 nozzle Steel Eagle, $850.00. See, I do the concrete cleaning at 6 gas stations a Wal-mart and misc. resturants. So I need a big one. I have worn out my 24' steel eagle. I will rebuild it for a back up.:>:
Thanks again! Bill @ Aqua-Blast House Wash

Take a look at the swivel and arms on it. Are they 1/4 pipe or bigger? If it has 1/8 inch pipe don't buy it. They bend too easy. They will even bend while they spin. Check out the size of the spray tips. They Should be half of the size of the tips you normally use on your wand. Also make sure the tips are 1/4 pipe threads.
