Kendra,

The "Blue Water Filter" originates from my area
(Sacramento California) A Contract Cleaner friend of mine has
the exclusive distribution rights to the product for the pressure
wash industry.

He sells to the company you referred to, we will be offering the filter
at our on-line store as soon as we are a little more familiar with it.

I have reviewed the test results and they are impressive!

Price to PWN members will be $179.

I hope to have more info this week

If you like I will keep you updated.

Ron are we suppose to be able to open and read what Kendra said, that letter at the top of your post will not open for me so I am lost as to what your talking about here.

Mark, how about explaining what this "blue water filter" is?

Any pictures?

Ron, I'm actually confused about this thread also. You make reference to something from Kendra, but you didn't identify what you were talking about or include it for reference. Can you elaborate more on this subject?

Thanks.

ron p

sorry for the confusion i wanted kendra to look at this product and tell me if it was a magic wand she seems to know a lot about waste water and compliance
i ordered some pressure hose from e-spec and got there info pkg. and it tells of a pillow pac that goes around a storm drain that takes out 500 diffrent poulants and takes out oil.
they claim that if you mixed 1 1/2 gal. of oil and the rest water in a 5 gal bucket and poured it threw this pillow you can drink the water after it passes threw it.
MARK you said your going to sell it cheaper then e-spec and i know your still learning about it. I want to know pricing on the replacement asorbers.
Why is it im the only one excited about a product that's cheap and MIGHT eliminate
water recovery? If this everything they say it is is it not the biggest thing in this industry we could hope for? at least for flatwork and fleetwashers building maint.?
i know there has been these tubes, socks, damns, ect around for a while but will this system really allow you to put it around a storm drain and just go to work?
I am guessing NO UNLESS IT TAKES OUT THE STUFF IN YOUR SOAPS THAT WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS, JUST BECAUSE NO OIL PROB. DOS'ENT MAKE YOU IN COMPLIANCE.
THATS WHY I WANTED KENDRA TO LOOK AT THIS POST.

We will be posting more information and pictures on the
Blue Water Filter, later this week.

I have a copy of the analytical laboratory results for this filter.

In summary "The results showed the prefiltered sample contained 32.8%(328,000 ppm) Oil and Grease and the filtered sample contained
less than 0.0005% (5ppm) Oil and Grease."

That's pretty amazing Mark. If it's true I'd be interested in finding out more about items like whether or not it can be reused or is a disposable product. If it's only a one time type product then you are still back at the beginning because a $179 price tag is still going to make a $10G recycling system actually cost less in the long run.

Ron, the reason you are probably the only one really excited here is because we hear about this kind of pie in the sky stuff all the time and it always ends up that there's some kind of catch. Like with this product, let's say it is $179 but it has the relplacement absorbers that you are talking about at a much less cost, then it might be a viable option. However, if it ends up costing a bunch to keep using it, then it's not worth it regardless of how well it cleans. There's just been too many things out there that didn't work like they said. The last time somebody tried to come up with an alternative to power washing flat work with environmental concerns was Delco's dry cement cleaner. It's a novel idea until you actually see it first hand and notice how crappy the results are.

I just don't get excited about things anymore until I see it work first hand and I have proof that it's going to save me money.
