I finally took some pics of the diverter that I made to prevent debris, water, and mud from entering the gutters.
I like the fire hose idea better; this is probably the least expensive fix. Around $30 for the paint and garage door weather stripping.
This is the diverter laying in front of the garage door at an angle so the water will flow towards the grass.
