the order to appl. depends on the product your useing, and how meny coats you want to apply. Also if its ground level or 2 story.

Outside railings if you spray, inside, than the floor.Thats using ready seal.
Today i had to do entire deck by hand,a big one, took 12 hours, ouch. All because of the wind.Today was the third dry day around here and it had to be windy,2 days before that were calm.Mkaes me mad,it calmed down at 8 pm,thats when i got second coat in 30 min by spraying, thats after all day of working my rear off.Mabe i need to start a wind mill business, every time i stain a deck its so windy!

I was brave and sprayed in the wind today...........sprayed the first coat, but wasnt feeling lucky, so I put a second coat on the floor by hand.

I always use Ready Seal.........and the reason why guys are telling you one way for RS and another for other products is because Ready Seal allows you to be a bit more carefree..........you can get a little too much of it here and there, and it really doesnt matter..........no backbrushing, and it will be even when it dries (they call it "goof proof")

When spraying an entire deck, I spray the outside rails/spindles, then inside, then the floor. Let the floor dry a while and apply a second coat............then remove my overspray protection and trim it out.

When doing rails by hand, and spraying the floor, I do the inside rails/spindles first, then spray the floor, then do outside rails/spindles, then spray second coat on floor. Then trim anything I missed.

Hope that helps.

I spray the inside of the spindals/rails first so I don't have to walk on any over spray. Then I do the outside of the Spindals/rails which will put overspray on the surface floor.

Then I do the floor with a 9"Stain pad unless I'm doing natural which I would spray the floor and work it in the boards with the stain pad to get a uniform finish.

I go outside in, do the railings and then the floor. Cut into the house with a 4" brush about a foot or two out then spray the floor if the nor eastes aren't blowin.
