Winter

Move to another state!

I was born and raised in MN but now live in VA. The temps down here get no where near MN, yet if I could I would hibernate (to cut down on food, gas, and heat!) because things get so slow. I do some light remodeling work, painting, and such, but what really saves me is stashing cash for the lean times. My best friend from MN follows his work down to AZ. A large number of his window cleaning customers have homes down there plus he sells beer at Cubs spring training!
You could put up Christmas lights, plow snow, rescue frozen polar bears and penguins, or offer a rinse to remove salt from cars if you do autos. What I'm saying is get creative!

Gutter cleaning, roof repairs and ice dam removals keep us busy all winter long.

Hi Henry.

FYI:
I don't get any scroll bars when I view your website....so I can only read the top half of the page.

Regards.

That's strange, what browser are you using? I've never had problems with this before.

Oh....mebbie that's it.
I use a Mac and Safari.

I also run premium in my truck. ;-)

Well that is strange then and I have no idea what could be causing the problem. What screen size are you using? Maybe the scroll bar is there and you just can't see it. Could your monitor settings be off also so the picture is shifted too far to the right or something?

Well...I'm pretty fluent with my Mac.
I was reading the story about artillery fungus.....and there is nothing I can do to get the scroll bar to appear.

It was so odd...that is why I made the post to you.
Yet...there is another Mac guy here saying he can view your site. Which is quite nice by the way....at least the 50% I can view. ;-)
Note: I used IE and can view the site.
Didn't mean to stir up an can of worms.

BTW, Henry, can you tell me a little about charging to remove ice dams from homes?
Maybe a little about what to stay away from...or how to go about it?
How to sell the service?
Seems to me most people where I live would rather cause more damage to their homes than hire somebody to minimize the potential damage from ice dams.

I have a Steam Jenny coming in early January and I don't want to be overly exuberant solving my town's freezing problems.

Tks.
