That comes out to $4.16 per month for this BB. The shared information on this BB is worth every penny. How Dan is able to maintain this BB is beyond me.

Today I will send Dan a unsolicited check for $50 so that he will be able to maintain/modify this BB. We as a group should be willing to share so that we can benefit from the BB.

Ask yourself would you service this BB for nothing?

David good idea, I know it has been talked about before and I know Dan said he was going to post something about how much and where to send it, guess he felt it was not right to ask us or for whatever reason did not post his answer.

I will send a check also, hmm do I send $4.16 a month or the whole thing at once!!!!

For those that also feel it is worth the few dollars and I hope everyone who logs in does feel this way, GUEST and members his address is on his home page.

Thanks to all that contribute,

We really can use the help. I think that Dave really spelled it out properly. I did have a plan to ask for support from the group. But I was not sure how to go about it. The site traffic has really increased and believe it or not just yesterday the cost has gone up again because the data transfer limit was exceeded.
But that is a good thing. Over 600,000 web pages are viewed per month. That is incredible interest. This has happened in just offer a year.

I think that all that use this board should ask themselves. (Do I benefit from this board.) If the answer is yes I think $50 per year is more than fair.
It would still leave the majority of cost per year on us. But every little bit helps.

Unfortunately we do not sell products to help support the costs to run and purchase what is needed to keep things running and add new features. We decided that the benefits out way the money, so started the board anyway. However any help would be great.

This is a official request to help continue and add new things to our community. You are not obligated to do so, nor will you be looked down on if you can't or don't want to help out with a $50 dollar donation.

To break it down even further. It would cost you 13.6 cents a day to help support this community. You decided if this is of value to you and if you can spare 13.6 cents a day to have access to a wealth of continued education and networking.

It will help take the full burden of me and help continue the growth of this site. Again this is on a volunteer basis.

Thanks to all the moderators and sponsors for their time and contributions to get us this far. Please, if there is anything that you need, and are going to buy anyway. Look and see if our sponsors can provide it for you first. If we don't support them they will soon be gone.

Thanks for bringing this up again Dave and to all that have emailed me offering help. I guess I am asking now. I will also send an e-mail out to all the members.

NOTE. If any of you sent me an e-mail lately. I got it, but my out going e-mail is not working for some reason. So I have not been able to return the mail. I can send it by web mail but it is hard to search for addresses.
Just so you know.

Also I have put up a lot of new pictures this month. Keep them coming. Send them via e-mail or US Mail and I will get them up ASAP.

For all that see the value in helping out with a $50 per year donation. I will indicate the people that help with some kind of membership logo next to your name. I think it's important to show the people who help make things happen.

If anyone has talent in the graphics area, and would like to design a logo that indicates our 50 dollar supporters please send your ideas to me. If I get more than one, I will post them and we can vote for the one we will use. If not I will come up with something.

If you consider it on a daily basis, it comes out to less than $.15 per day!! How much do you pay for a cup of coffee at Mickey D's??

Dave Olson,

Hold up buddy, you're not guest and we all know that, just hit Dan over the head a couple times and perhaps he can fix the problem.

I have a small problem here too but not sure if it is his software or mine. Used to be my name and password came up automatically but now I have to enter it every time, ever since I upgraded my computer this has happened.

It brings up all my names and I either type or click on the name I want to show, anyone else have this problem? if so how did you fix it?

For those that are thinking that this was a set up-forget it. At no time did anyone suggest anything regarding my unsolicited $50 donation. We are always looking for the new ways to solve problem and yet forgetting the opportunity that work well. This BB works well and it deserves our support.

FIX FIX

For those that don't know David well I can attest there truly is no fix here. David just has a big heartand shares it at times.

Just because a few of us post we are sending $$ to Dan to help support this board does not mean all of you have to post that your sending him money.

Do it discreetly if you wish but please offer something, be it $5.00, $50.00 or more as it does cost to run this board. Probably more then most think it does.

Small price to pay for all I have learned here, and more so for all the friends I have met and gained.

OK Jon,,,I will not post that we will be sending Dan any money at all......

I remember back when Dan first started this board. We were one of the first to jump on board before you even had to register. My hopes were growing very dim after using the "other" board, so many arguments, so much name calling...then of course I got kicked off for commenting on some certain "profession videos".....hmmmmm [question]
Anyway, my company owes Dan and all the other professionals on this board a great debt and a mere $50.00 is a drop in the bucket to what we have made with the help of those professionals.

I am not going to get into a big deal about this. I asked and those that feel they would like to help out that would be great.

I will give you a quick low down. Hosting, space, 600,000 page views per month equals a ton of data transfer. The software, the scripts, some maintenance I can't handle. (some cgi and html) The labor hours I won't even get into and so on and so on.

I feel that if contractors feel they benefit from this site they would be happy to help cover the past, present and future development of the site.

As I see it, $50 is a small price to pay for education, knowledge, hints, techniques, product info, tricks and tips of the trade. A good deal GI. My thanks to all for sharing their profession with us "newbies". A $50 investment for using info to generate more $$ and customer satisfaction,,,,,, A NO BRAINER. I in there too. On its way Dan. Thanks for your efforts and headaches. They are very worthwhile. We do appreciate all of it.
