I have a Mi-T-M machine with a 12 volt Wayne burner, Suntec fuel pump, with a exterior suntec shut off valve.(see pic) My problem is the burner is not getting any fuel (diesel) I replaced the inline fuel filter, removed discharge line going back to fuel tank started machine (burner on) and got flow and pressure. I removed the copper tubing going from the shut off valve to the burner, started the machine (burner on) and no flow. (all this time with the wand open to assure water flow. I have not checked the pressure switch because I don't know how to bypass the switch, nor have I made sure the fuel nozzle was not clogged, because I'm unsure where and how to get to it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, work is stacking up quick!!

I don't know anything about 12V systems but I assume the principle is the same.
Sounds like the problem could be the solenoid coil. Remove it from the post and put a straightened paper clip in the coil. Turn the system on (as if you were going to wash) and you should feel the magnetic pull on the paper clip. If you dont, either you are not getting power to the coil or it is not functioning.
Good luck.

Did you check the pump strainer? If you did and it is clean, then the shut-off is no good. Unscrew the fitting the nozzle line is attached to coming off the shut-off valve. Next, unscrew the valve off the the fuel pump. Put thread sealant on the fitting you took off the solenoid valve (NOTE: DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE OR A TEFLON BASED SEALER. THE OIL WILL DISSOLVE IT IN TIME. USE RECTOR SEAL #5, OR SOME OTHER NON-HARDENING, NON-TEFLON SEALER.) Screw the fitting into the nozzle line outlet. You'll be good to go. If you want, just pick-up a new 12 volt delayed oil valve.

The way it sounds your plugin going to the solenoid is dirty, sounds like the solenoid not having any fire, unplug and plug it a few times and see if it'll work

If you are not getting fuel out of the fuel pump
you may need a new fuel pump. Remove the 4 screws
that hold the cover on the pump, tap on the cover with
the handle of a screwdriver to break it loose, take care
not to damage gasket.
(You probably do not have a spare gasket on hand)

When you remove the cover you should find a screen
/ strainer clean this off with compressed air. If you see rust
inside the fuel pump don't waste any more time with that
pump get a replacement.

If you run a water / fuel seperator type filter you are less
likely to have fuel pump / moisture / rust problems.
(Providing you service the filter properly)

Hope this helps.

ron @ pro-wash
if people dont see posts like this, compared to the big RV washing post thats got some people in a stir, they never will get what being a good salesman is all about.
Show me what you got MARK and my next order will go to you.
One other thing. Is it true that less then 10% of your sales are to internet users?
What is the %?

Ron,

Yes we do have a printed catalog, send us your address so
we can send you one.

Probably have you in the customer data base but we can be certain
if you e-mail the data and we will mail a catalog next week.

Thanks

It was a pleasure talking with you on Friday.

I am confident the fuel pump is the problem based
on our conversation Friday.

Glad I was able to help! :)
