The way the question is phrased is wrong. I do believe that an organization can help a person with their business. Organizations such as BOMA and IWCA are both really effective organizations. I do not think that at this point PWNA is there. I need to see some really positive stuff coming out of htere before I will sign up, such as, customers actually asking if I belong to it. That will tell me that they are making their name known. Otherwise it is me just throwing money away, because I have seldom seen anything in their material and conventions that I feel would be personally and professionally beneficial.

I tend to agree with Scott Stone. I've read most of PWNA's rhetoric here and on other boards, and even though the "lip service" sounds good, they really haven't stepped up to the plate with anything substantive enough to attract me. I've been in the pressure washing business long enough to read between the lines, and I just don't see any benefit in joining PWNA. I wish them luck though.

Should I delete the "who cares"?

@ least PWNA will get some action here

Scott said it well !*!

And I would assume most would agree with it but: are afraid to say it[][][]

If you can delete the "Who Cares" go right ahead since anyone who doesn't care most likely won't even vote....because they don't care...

Well, let's see.....I don't see any specific organization listed in the question so, I'll throw this one out there. We're members of the National Association of HomeBuilders. It has given us opportunities and networking that we would have otherwise not had access to. We've been participating (another important part in whether an org can help you) and can honestly attribute at least 1/3 of our income this year to this organization.

With that said, when we first started in business, we did not join PWNA but still landed a VERY large client. We did join a year later and lo and behold, this year when we went to resign our VERY large contract, part of our requirements to keep this contract were PWNA related. Draw your own conclusions :)

I think when you join a organization you haveta be somewhat active and use it to your own ben-a-fit and not set back and wait for the apple truck to come by.There is not one organization that I know of that hasn't helped someone, some more than other b/c they use it to there ben-e-fit.

And the Pressure Washer Emeritus nails it! You get out of things what you put into them :)

And there it is Larry like Celeste said nailed it. Same goes for the PWNA. Once again this year I'm going to make a few thousand more becaue of my affiliation with the PWNA and the contacts that I made. One of the examples of this is that TREX decking was looking for PWNA members to clean there decks and they pay you direct. So far I made around $5000 this year on that one connection. One of the other PWNA guys has made over $60,000 because of this one connection. Also with 7 other contractors we cleaned the Cooperstown baseball stadium for our "Clean Accross America campaign" Now when I used that In the marketing for my business its once gain another way to make more Money and the satisfaction of doing it for a good cause was alone another benefit thru the PWNA. Oh yea did I mention the job leads I recieved from the PWNA...I just made another $700 thru that this past Monday....All this for my $195/yr membership.....

Larry,
As of last night, the "No's" who voted were not viewable by the users, just the yes's and the other choice. Why is this? Can we see who voted "no"? Just an observation and a question.

I wonder if a non registered can vote?
Depends on the settings in the ACP. It can be done, but the votes show up as "Guest".

Personally, to us it is worth being a member of PWNA. Have a great day all!!
