Sorry about that, was in the shower. It's a RK-43 hot water skid on a 5X8 open trailer. It's 3500 psi at 5.2 gpm and 200 degrees. The motor is a Vanguard 18 HP with 12 volt charging system. It has 2 Rapid Reels with the fill hose being 100 ft. and the pressure hose at 200 ft. It also comes with a 20 inch Whirl-A-Way surface cleaner, ladder rack, extension wand and measuring wheel. The rig currently has less than 22 hours on it. Everything new would run about $6500. I'm letting it go for $5500. It's a steal considering the skid alone sells for $4495 new, trailer was $685 new, surface cleaner was $530 new, 2 hose reels were $190 each new, extension wand was $155 new, pressure hose was $210 new and garden hose was $45 new. This rig will deliver plenty of cleaning power with the hot water and is very compact for towing or storage. Give me a call tomorrow.

It's just what i was looking for but unfortunately I only have 2,000 to start out with. Wish I had the money because i sure would jump on it. Unless your willing work out some kind of monthly payment. :( Just asking it was worth a shot.

I'd like to keep it together as a complete rig that's ready to do business, but I'll keep you in mind if I do decide to part it out.

Astroturf

I was wondering if anyone has had to pressure wash astroturf before, because i am going to do a job in a few week which requires me to do so. Im not sure which type of chemical to use, i know chlorine will most likely fade away its green color, so any advice would really help. Also, i am about to purchase a surface cleaner and i dont know if i should get the common 20" size or go for broke and get a 27" one. Im using a 13hp honda that puts out 4000psi, im curious if the 20" surface cleaner leaves better results than the bigger one because i would rather take more time to get better results, that way i get the job again in the future. Not to mention if anyone could part with an example of their own estimate they've given to a commercial customer i would really appreciate it.

What chemicals are safe to run through the pump on a pressure washer, I read the back of a few different brands, Zep for example and it sais it should not be used in models that inject in into the pump.

If you guys have questions, it'd probably be best to start a new thread related to the questions, rather than sticking them on a totally unrelated thread...that way, people will be more likely to see them.

chlorine shouldn't affect astroturf. What's on the carpeting?

I wouldn't run any chemicals through my pump. Some run certain soaps through it, but I just don't see the need except in certain cases. What are you cleaning?

Yeah, I know a lot of fleetwashers do that, but for general purpose cleaning, I can't see it.

You're injecting to the upstreamer with a shurflo? Is that just to increase the amount of chem you're injecting?

Back to the original Question

I guess by asking if we had any prior experience with pressure washing is that "Did we work for a Pressure Washer?" My answer is no. I bought the equipment without even fireing it up. It belonged to a friend and I have seen it work before. And I knew he wouldn't screw me over. Heck he just sold an Commercial Walk Behind mower to me for $300 the other day.

When I originally started the first thing I ever pressure washed was a friend's driveway. Infact the friend who sold me the pressure washer. I worked great. And I was happy. So I fixed up my trailer and did some other maintanence work to the pressure washers. My first job was for another friend. I did a driveway, Sidewalk, Curb for $140. Infact I have a picture of it somewhere. I'll load it up. But it is a before picture. I never got an after picture. I did recently pressure wash his house though. My first repeat customer.

Then I did my friend's grandpa's driveway and then his neighbors brick house. I must admit though I didn't do that great of a job. Then the guy who sold me his pressure washer got in contact with the guy he knew who pressure washed for 10 years and asked if I could tag along and he said sure. So he taught me how to do a house and then I had the courage to do houses and here I am today.

And oh yeah. I noticed earlier that someone complained about stupid questions and questions being asked over and over again. Well then there is no need to come to a bulletin board. And if no one asked these "stupid" questions then this would be a boring board too. People have to keep asking questions to keept his board going so ask away.
